HOLMER Green Cricket Club was founded in 1922 and started life on the village Common, based, not surprisingly, at the Bat and Ball.
When HGSA was formed in 1968, HGCC moved to Watchet Lane to enjoy the far superior facilities here.
When the Mid-Bucks League was founded in 1974, Holmer Green joined and have played in this league ever since, with many successful campaigns. Holmer have been in the top flight since 1984 and have won it no less than 6 times.
2014 Season
Last season the 1st XI came second in the Premier League, and won the 20/20 Knock-Out Cup, beating Ley Hill in the final.
The 2nd XI finished second in Division 2, and will play the 2015 season in Division1. Only one other 2nd XI plays in this division.
Junior Sections
Under the guidance of Head Coach, Chris Mitcham, the junior sections have gone from strength to strength in recent years. For 2015 we are running teams at Under 10, Under 11, Under 13 and Under 15 level. As always, if you know of any kids that would like to join us then the more the merrier as we do still need more kids at all age groups. Contact one of the officers below, or come along to one of the Friday night sessions at 6.00 p.m.

Clubmark
As part of our ongoing commitment to provide a healthy and vibrant club infrastructure, Holmer Green Cricket Club have been undertaking the ECB Clubmark accreditation process.
ECB Clubmark gives clubs an opportunity to write and implement new procedures as well as acknowledge existing practices. Cricket clubs are required to present evidence and demonstrate implementation of good practice. A lot of hard work culminated in the ECB Clubmark being achieved last year.
