We are very sad to hear of the passing of Doug Mier. His name is proudly engraved on the plaque in the entrance area of the club as one of those that helped to create the Club we know today. We are very grateful for all his work in the early years, a lasting legacy and a reminder of his work and commitment to HGSA.
In recent years he has been a Saturday lunchtime regular and the staff and his friends will surely miss him.
At this sad time our thoughts are with his widow Jean and family. His funeral will be held on 7th August but restrictions on attendance apply, his wake will be by invitation only too. The family have asked for no floral tributes.
